LipiFlow®, address dry eye symptoms to treat the root cause of the problem, the obstructed Meibomian glands. If left untreated, dry eye can deteriorate and manifest in additional problems. The goal of unblocking the glands is to allow them to resume their natural production of oils required for a healthy tear film. LipiFlow® treatments can only be provided by a licensed physician and is FDA-cleared to treat this problem. LipiFlow® is an in-office procedure that takes approximately 20 minutes, and both eyes can be treated simultaneously.
